The Stars Of Green Island

Stars of Green Island with wrass  Just half an hour by boat out from Cairns is Green Island  surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Great barrier Reef.  Green sea turtles, coral trouts, banner fish, clown fish, Maori wrasse and Parrot fish are just a few inhabitants of the many thousands of fish species.  The green parrot fish in this painting has been named by locals as Gavin and is internationally renowned for smiling and posing with the tourists in their underwater photos.  800 X 600 this painting is for sale.

The Young Emperor

The Young EmporerThe stripped fish in the foreground is the Emperor Angelfish- he loses all these markings as he matures. The fish at the top is the Blue girdled Angel fish. Then we have a Blue Tang and a Yellow Tang fish. There are 100s more blue and yellow fish species in the Great Barrier reef but I thought this was a great  mix for my painting. The original painting is 12″ X 12″
